Ellie Kemper has praised her Office co-stars for being "welcoming" and "warm".

The 29-year-old actress, who joined the mockumentary series in 2008 as receptionist Erin Hannon, said that she feels lucky to be part of the show.

"Luckily, everyone there is so welcoming and so kind. I would imagine that that's sort of dynamic or warmth doesn't exist on every set," she told reporters during a conference call.

"And I have to say for a show that they have made - they did all the work to make it great and then I just got to come in in the fifth season and be a part of it, it's like really lucky for me."

The Office continues Thursdays at 9pm on NBC.
